Major Participants
Ye Olde Lebanon Towne Militia
The Lebanon Militia was an 18th century irregular militia which defended the town of Lebanon against the oppression of English tyranny. They wore no uniform, only a mix and match of civilian clothing with possibly a hint of military clothing dating from the French and Indian Wars.
Each man was responsible to provide his own clothing and equipment. Men from Lebanon, Connecticut were in every major battle fought in the North, beginning in 1775. Today, the militia is represented by men, women and children who provide a living history representation of camp life at the time of the American Revolution. The Lebanon Towne Militia will also be inviting other living history groups to participate in this event. Website: www.lebanonmilitia.com |
